Heart Health Prevention and Education

Heart disease remains one of the leading causes of death in the United States, but many cardiac emergencies and long‑term complications can be prevented through awareness, early recognition, and healthy lifestyle choices. At Union Health we're committed to empowering our community with accessible, evidence‑based education and tools that support lifelong heart health.

Early Heart Attack Education

Most people don’t realize that heart attacks often start with mild symptoms hours, or even weeks, before the major event. Recognizing these early signs can save a life.

Common Early Symptoms:

  • Chest pressure, burning or discomfort
  • Shortness of breath
  • Pain in the jaw, back or arms
  • Unusual fatigue
  • Nausea or dizziness
If these systems occur, even mild, do not ignore them and immediately call 911. Learn more about EHAC warning signs with the downloadable graphic by clicking on the button below.
