Union Health is pleased to announce that Merle Rust, MD, a Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine physician, has joined its neurosurgery team, expanding access to specialized brain and spine care for patients in the Wabash Valley.
Dr. Rust brings 28 years of medical experience and a strong commitment to providing expert, compassionate care close to home. His clinical interests include improving spinal outcomes through surgery, and he performs procedures such as spine decompression, fusion and craniotomy for trauma and tumors.
Dr. Rust is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, and he holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Eastern Illinois University.
Dr. Rust is seeing patients at the Brain and Spine Center, located at 1513 N. 6 1/2 Street in Terre Haute. Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
