I grew up in southern Indiana, went to medical school at the University of Louisville, and completed my residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii. After residency I served as a Battalion Surgeon in a U.S. Army Special Forces Group. I am a Fellow in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine, and have my Diploma in Mountain Medicine. During my military service I accomplished training to serve as a Hyperbaric Medical Officer and Flight Surgeon, I helped train medics in combat casualty care, and oversaw the primary care of soldiers with an international footprint. I speak Spanish fluently, and have spent a considerable amount of time in Spanish speaking countries. It was my dream to practice medicine here in Indiana, and after my military service I moved back with my growing family to accomplish that dream. It is my desire to use my experiences to improve the health of patients from any walk of life.
