Josue Diaz Ordaz, MD earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Purdue University. He subsequently attended Indiana University School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, recognized as a Julius Goodman Scholar, and awarded a scholarship by the National Hispanic Medical Association.
Dr. Diaz Ordaz completed his neurosurgery residency at Indiana University, where he also pursued an enfolded, CAST-approved fellowship in neuro-oncology and underwent six months of specialized training in neurocritical care. He is an active member of both the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS).
His clinical expertise encompasses a broad range of neurosurgical conditions, including degenerative and traumatic spinal disorders, traumatic brain injury, brain and spinal tumors, trigeminal neuralgia, and peripheral nerve pathologies. He is proficient in both traditional open and minimally invasive surgical techniques, with a patient-centered approach tailored to individual anatomy and pathology.
Dr. Diaz Ordaz has contributed to numerous publications across various subspecialties within neurosurgery. His research interests include neuro-oncology, pediatric neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, neurotrauma, and surgical innovation. He has presented his work at leading national and international conferences, including those hosted by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American Association for Cancer Research, American Epilepsy Society, and the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Diaz Ordaz enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children. Together, they enjoy dining out, visiting parks, watching movies, and playing video games. The family is excited to explore Terre Haute and become active members of the local community.
