Dr. Gary Fitzgerald was awarded the 2023 United Healthcare Hero Award for excellence in patient experience. United Healthcare analyzed hundreds of thousands of phone surveys to identify the top performing providers and provider groups and out of 34 health systems across the Hoosier state, only three providers received the United Hero Award. To win a United Hero Award, providers must hit specific targets on their patient-experience scorecards over the course of the year, with each target covering a critical area of the patient experience.
