Union Health is pleased to welcome Agastya D. Belur, MD, FACC, to its cardiology team, expanding access to specialized cardiovascular care for patients across the Wabash Valley. Dr. Belur is an interventional cardiologist with 16 years of medical experience and advanced training in cardiovascular medicine, interventional cardiology and structural cardiology.
Originally from Mumbai, India, Dr. Belur earned his medical degree from Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital in Mumbai and completed a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. He went on to complete an internal medicine residency and cardiovascular medicine fellowship at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a structural cardiology fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine.
Dr. Belur provides care for a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, valve disease, atrial fibrillation, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, heart failure, arrhythmia and congenital heart disease. His clinical interests include cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary intervention, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, MitraClip, left atrial appendage occlusion and other advanced heart procedures.
