Women’s health and obstetric care services are now being offered closer to home.
Union Health is proud to announce two providers are now offering comprehensive women’s health and prenatal care services in several rural outreach clinics across the Wabash Valley.
Melissa Barker, a certified nurse practitioner, offers obstetric/prenatal care at Union Hospital Clinton, as well as in the patient’s home. Barker has more than two decades of nursing experience with expertise in obstetrics, labor and delivery, cardiology and stroke.
Darla Berry, a certified nurse midwife, offers women’s health care at Putnam County Hospital and will soon offer those same services at Rockville Family Medicine. Berry also has more than two decades of experience in her full-scope midwifery practice.
Rural residents often encounter barriers to health care that limit their ability to obtain the care they need. Those challenges escalate for women.
This program allows women to receive exceptional health and prenatal services in their own community, without having to drive miles or hours to receive them.
