Donna is a native of North Terre Haute. Her career in health care started in 1987 at Union Hospital as a med/surg nurse. Throughout the years, Donna has had a commitment to life-long learning, improving practice outcomes, service, and resilience through change. She became a family nurse practitioner, graduating from the University of Southern Indiana in 2009. She went on to pursue a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Indiana State University in 2015. Through adversity, she developed a passion to provide appropriate pain management treatments and end-of-life care to those in need. This is her final chapter. She has come full circle and now has the privilege to provide care to those in their most vulnerable stages of life. She also continues to be a mentor, educator, and facilitator to the upcoming nursing scholars. She wants her legacy to be rooted in making Terre Haute health care the best it can be.
